Welcome Baby Kaden : Kennewick Newborn Portraits

Oh my! How is it 2016 already? I can’t wait to see what this year has in store. Last year was such a blessing, so much so, that there was a little radio silence from me on the blog and Facebook end, as I was working my little tail off with fall and early winter sessions. But there’s been so many wonderful family, newborn, and maternity portrait sessions lately, and I just have to make the time to share some of them with you.

This adorable family I first met at their maternity session in late fall. Big brother was just cracking me up the whole time. What a bright light he is, and I know he’s going to love showing his new little brother how to keep everyone on their toes!

This little firecracker has a very special place in my heart. I’ve been photographing her since she was the most adorable chubby little two month old. Hard to believe that looking at her now. Every year she just dazzles me with her spirit and intelligence.  If she grows up to be an astronaut, nuclear physicist, the president, or all of the above I won’t be surprised in the least.

Connell Newborn Pictures: Tri-Cities Moses Lake Family Photography

Well its a good thing I usually do maternity portraits between 30 and 36 weeks, because this little guy was ready to to bust out when he darn well felt like it. Three days after our maternity proofing session I got a text from mom that he’d been born! Unlike most early birds he was “Mr. Stretch” from the beginning. No tight swaddles or super curly poses for this one, he wanted room to stretch. He wasn’t fussy at all, he just already knew what he wanted. No problem! As with all newborn sessions the baby is the boss, and we work with their individual personality to create beautiful newborn images of their first few days in this big wide world. I hope you love the results as much as I do!

Connell Maternity Portraits: Eastern Washington Portrait Photographer

I love fall. We may not have much in the way of trees and their foliage around here, but we do have blooming sagebrush and gorgeous light reflecting off basalt cliffs and moody lakes. And the skies! Oh the endless skies more than make up for not having trees around here. I was just going over this lovely couple’s newborn session when I realized I’d never posted images from their gorgeous maternity session. How in love these two are! They were so excited for their little one to arrive. I don’t know which one was brighter: the beautiful golden fall light or their smiles as they laughed and joked with each other.

Mother & Daughter Portraits: Moses Lake Othello Family Photography

Today I’m sharing a few of my favorites from this recent portrait session with a mother and her two beautiful daughters. This was a fun little session celebrating both of these girl’s recent birthdays as well as the excitement of another sibling arriving later this year. Mom wanted images mostly of the two girls with just a few maternity, and mother and daughter images. Sometimes these in between moments for older siblings can get forgotten when a new baby is on the way, but it was important to the family to document what it was like before two siblings became three. I couldn’t agree more!
